Maruti EV SUV Debuts; New Kia Seltos Date Set

The automotive industry was abuzz this week, with major announcements and new launches across both cars and motorcycles. On the car front, Maruti Suzuki unveiled the e-Vitara — the company’s first electric SUV — in India, offering dual battery-pack options. Meanwhile, a new-generation Kia Seltos was teased ahead of its December debut. Among two-wheelers, the Triumph Tiger Sport 800 Tour and a new Royal Enfield cruiser were also introduced.

Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara

Maruti Suzuki has launched the e-Vitara, its first electric SUV in India. Customers can choose between two battery-pack options — 49 kWh and 61 kWh — offering a balance between efficiency and performance. Pricing has not yet been announced, and bookings for the e-Vitara will begin in January 2026.

Lexus RX 350h Exquisite Grade

Lexus India has added a new ‘Exquisite’ grade to the RX 350h line-up, expanding the range while retaining the brand’s focus on hybrid technology, refined design, and comfort. Starting at ₹89.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the new variant provides additional choice for buyers in the luxury SUV segment.

2026 Mahindra Scorpio

Mahindra’s popular SUVs — the XUV700 and Scorpio N — are set to receive mid-cycle updates in 2026. The refreshed Scorpio N is likely to be launched in the second half of the year, while the updated XUV700 is expected in the first quarter. A heavily camouflaged test mule of the upcoming Scorpio N facelift was recently spotted.

New-Generation Kia Seltos

Following extensive testing, Kia will introduce the new-generation Seltos in India on 10 December. Inspired by global models, the teaser reveals striking C-shaped DRLs integrated into the headlights, along with vertically and horizontally layered LED lighting. A panoramic sunroof enhances the SUV’s premium appeal, and the Kia badge is prominently positioned above the grille.

Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control Variant

Hero MotoCorp has announced pricing for the new Xtreme 160R 4V variant equipped with cruise control. Priced at ₹1,34,100 — around ₹4,500 more than the standard model — it retains the same mechanical setup, featuring a 163.2 cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine delivering 16.9 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 14.6 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

2025 Ducati Streetfighter V2 and V2 S

Ducati has launched the 2025 Streetfighter V2 and V2 S in India. Both models are powered by a new 890 cc, 90-degree V2 engine compliant with Euro 5+ norms. The engine produces a peak torque of 93.3 Nm at 8,250 rpm and a maximum power output of 120 bhp at 10,750 rpm. Prices start at ₹17.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
