The capacity crowd at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday, February 25, saw an excellent display of spin-bowling from the home side through the middle overs. Maheesh Theekshana was the cynosure, as he bagged a crucial three-for. This included wickets of Fin Allen, Rachin Ravindra, and Mark Chapman.

The wicket to Chapman is a dream for any off-spinner. Theekshana took the wicket of Rachin Ravindra, who was caught at backward point, only two balls before Chapman's dismissal. The Sri Lankan mystery spinner, who was oozing with confidence, bowled a classic off-break, which landed in the leg-stump line and gripped off the deck before hammering the top of the off-stump.
