Nico Iamaleava, a redshirt sophomore quarterback, has transferred from Tennessee to UCLA for the 2025 season. Iamaleava, who previously wore jersey number 8 at Tennessee, will wear number 9 at UCLA, as number 8 is retired in honor of former Bruins' quarterback Troy Aikman. During his time at Tennessee, Iamaleava appeared in 18 games, completing 241-of-379 passing attempts for 2,930 yards, 21 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also recorded 435 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 129 attempts. Iamaleava entered the NCAA transfer portal on April 12 and committed to UCLA on April 20, missing Tennessee's final spring practice and Orange & White Game before transferring.
