Jim McKee, an 81-year-old man from the Grosvenor Road area, tragically died after being struck by a car in West Belfast. The incident occurred on Genoa Street at approximately 11:20 BST on Saturday. Despite the rapid response from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, which dispatched a paramedic and three emergency crews, McKee was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was temporarily closed but has since reopened. McKee was a prominent figure in the community, serving as the chairman of Immaculata Football Club, where he was deeply involved as a volunteer, coach, and mentor.
