The Lindsay Cardinals football team has been recognized as the Tulare County high school boys' sports team of the year for the 2024-25 school year. Under the leadership of rookie head coach Marcus Alonzo, the team achieved a historic season, finishing with a 10-6 record. Key players included Jose Cortes, Ethan Cortes, Uriah Guerrero, and others who contributed significantly to the team's success. The Cardinals won the Central Section Division VI title, their first since 2001, and also captured the CIF State Division 7-AA SoCal Regional crown, advancing to the state championship game. Lindsay is one of only five programs in Tulare County history to compete in a state championship game.
