Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan lit up the Super Four clash against India with a stylish knock of 58 runs from 45 balls, which included five fours and three sixes. His milestone moment came in style when he rocked back to pull a short delivery from Axar Patel over midwicket for six, bringing up his fifty. Farhan then celebrated by pretending to fire shots with his bat like a gun, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
Abhishek Sharma’s ‘L’ gesture
India’s young opener Abhishek Sharma matched the energy with his explosive innings of 74 off 39 balls against Pakistan. His knock, decorated with six fours and five sixes, earned plenty of praise from teammates and fans alike. After bringing up his half-century with a boundary off Saim Ayub, Abhishek first raised his bat, blew a flying kiss towards the stands, and then displayed a hand gesture forming the letter ‘L’. Oman captain Jatinder Singh brought out his trademark thigh-five gesture after taking a brilliant catch to dismiss India’s Shivam Dube in the group stage. Dube had attempted a big shot off Aamir Kaleem, only for the ball to sky high towards midwicket.
