Hoax Bomb Threats Target Foreign Consulates in Bengaluru, Police Investigate

that the threats were communicated via emails sent from the address '[e-mail].' Following complaints from the respective consulates, cases were registered at the Ulsoor and Vidhana Soudha police stations. Authorities conducted thorough checks, which revealed that the threats were false.

Details of the Threats

The Italian consulate reported receiving an email at 5:25 AM, warning of an imminent explosion, stating, '5 RDX to blast in Italy Consulate, Bengaluru at 1 PM. Evacuate Diplomats by 10 AM!'. A similar message was sent to the Japanese consulate at 5:32 AM.
