Mumbai Traffic Update: As Mumbai witnessed overnight rain on Monday, the weather department issued an orange alert for the city for today, September 15, with the India Meteorological Department predicting

moderate to intense rain and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning with gusty winds for the city.

The downpour has also affected the traffic movements, and an advisory has been issued by the concerned department. Traffic has been closed at Andheri Subway (Andheri West) and diverted via Gokhale Bridge due to waterlogging.

“Due to one to one-and-a-half feet of rainwater accumulating at Andheri Subway (Andheri West), traffic there has been closed, and the traffic has been diverted via Gokhale Bridge,” said Mumbai Traffic Police on X.

The weather forecast agencies have also warned of waterlogging in the southern and central parts of the city.
