Main kaun hoon, kya hoon, ya sirf Jawan hoon — the answer is simple: he is not just a National Award winner but the King of Arts.” Overwhelmed with the kind words, SRK couldn’t hold back and blew a flying kiss, expressing gratitude. 71st National Film Awards: Winner List

The winners of the 71st National Film Awards were announced on August 1, showcasing the diversity of cinema across languages, genres, and crafts. Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail won Best Feature Film, while the offbeat comedy Kathal – A Jackfruit Mystery was selected as Best Hindi Film. Shah Rukh Khan (Jawan) and Vikrant Massey (12th Fail) will share the Best Actor award, while Rani Mukerji received Best Actress for her powerful performance in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway.

Also, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will be conferred with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2023. While sharing it with the world on social media, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on X wrote, “On the recommendation of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award Selection Committee, the Government of India is pleased to announce that Shri Mohanlal will be conferred the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2023. Mohanlal’s remarkable cinematic journey inspires generations! The legendary actor, director, and producer is being honoured for his iconic contribution to Indian cinema. His unmatched talent, versatility, and relentless hard work have set a golden standard in Indian film history. The award will be presented at the 71st National Film Awards ceremony on Sept 23, 2025.”

Shah Rukh Khan’s work front:

The actor is currently busy with the shoot of his upcoming action drama King. The film is a multi-starrer with Abhay Verma, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, and Saurabh Shukla, among others. The film is slated for a 2026 release.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is celebrating the release of The Ba***ds of Bollywood, directed by his son Aryan Khan, which premiered on Netflix on September 18. The film stars Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Anya Singh, Mona Singh, and Manoj Pahwa, and has been receiving positive reviews from both audiences and critics.
