LOCATION
Raigad is a coastal district along India’s western shoreline, characterized by a north–south orientation and an indented coastline. It lies between 17°51′N–19°10′N latitudes and 72°47′E–73°40′E longitudes. Thane borders it to the north, Ratnagiri to the south, Pune to the east, Satara to the southeast, and the Arabian Sea forms its western boundary.
