KEFI, Versova

KEFI embodies Greek “kefi”, which means joyful living through soulful global café fare and beverages that foster connection. Co-founded by Monica Kapoor, it transitions seamlessly from breakfasts to dinners with modern twists on comforting classics. Dishes spotlight flavour-forward familiarity: Keema Pao layers slow-cooked, deeply spiced mince atop buttery pav; KEFI Grilled Steak delivers seared, robust perfection; Chef’s Shakshuka nestles poached eggs in aromatic tomato sauce; hearty Desi Chicken Curry evokes home with slow-simmered spices; finish with decadent Dark Desire Cake, rich in intense chocolate layers. Led by Kapoor, the menu blends finesse and nostalgia for lingering meals.

Beverages match the vibe: nostalgic Retro Classic Cold Coffee, vibrant Bloody Matcha, floral Flirty Rose Iced Tea, indulgent Sweet Kiss, and nourishing Golden Glow Smoothie. Airy interiors in calming tones invite work sessions or chats, making KEFI Mumbai’s joyful third space.

Bodega 39, Goregaon

Bodega 39 is an upscale cocktail bar founded by Divya Kadam in Goregaon. It spans 2,500 sq ft and seats around 140 guests, featuring a luminous 20-ft glass facade and an alfresco area. Mixologist Louness Ducus helms a meticulous bar programme—no cans, sugars, or shortcuts. Fresh ingredients shine via clarification, fat-washing, sous-vide infusions, and house garnishes. Consultant Chef Gracian D’Souza’s food elevates drinks without overpowering: modern European-Indian small plates prioritise texture, spice, and balance. Shareable bites—truffle arancini, tandoori prawns, burrata with chilli oil, Goan chorizo croquettes, herb-infused fries—focus on clean, ingredient-driven flavours. Vegan/gluten-free options ensure inclusivity.

Address: Bodega 39, International Business Park, Western Express Highway, Goregaon

Dakshin Legacy, BKC

Dakshin Legacy is a haven for authentic coastal South Indian cuisine and celebrates the unadulterated flavours of Mangalore, Kerala, Goa, and Tamil Nadu. Rooted in ancestral recipes, it employs time-honoured techniques – stone-ground masalas, clay-pot simmering, hand-pressed coconut milk, and banana-leaf steaming – with spices sourced directly from southern shores.

Signature dishes are fiery Crab Chettinad, Pomfret Gassi, Prawns Ghee Roast and Clams Sukka. The bar reimagines coastal ingredients in inventive cocktails. Try Reddy on the Rocks (whiskey with tropical fruit, butterscotch), refreshing Chiranjeevi Kidu (gin, cucumber, ginger), punchy Bahubali Burst (rum, kokum, peach, chaat masala fizz), vibrant Lungi Dance (gin, curry leaves, amla, blue curaçao), or zesty Rajni Kudampuli (vodka, kokum, cranberry, ginger ale). A playful nod to heritage, perfectly paired with the feast.
