Rani Mukerji, Vikrant Massey, and Shah Rukh Khan have finally received their respective National Awards today in the grand ceremony hosted at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Rani received the highest honour for
her film Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, while Shah Rukh Khan received his first National Award in decades for his film Jawan , and Vikrant Massey has been honoured for his incredible work in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s directorial 12th Fail.
Rani Mukerji, who received the National Award in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category, came to the stage dressed in a stunning brown saree featuring broad borders. Before entering the stage, the actress touched the stage in honour and later received the award from President Droupadi Murmu.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has won the nation’s most prestigious National Award in the Best Actor category for his 2023 release Jawan. Shah Rukh Khan attended the 71st National Awards in New Delhi to receive the Best Actor award, marking a historic moment in his illustrious career. As his name was announced, the audience cheered at the top of their voice to congratulate the King Khan for his big achievement. His performance in Jawan was widely appreciated by audiences and critics.

Vikrant Massey also received the National Award in the Best Actor category for his film 12th Fail. The actor, dressed in ethnic elegance, greeted the members present with folded hands and later went to receive his National Award for his work in 12th Fail.

71st National Film Awards: Winner List
The winners of the 71st National Film Awards were announced on August 1, showcasing the diversity of cinema across languages, genres and crafts.
