of Indian cinema. It was recently reported that the film has been put on hold since Aamir wants Hirani to rework the script. However, Dadasaheb Phalke’s grandson, Chandrashekhar Pusalkar, has now revealed that the speculations are not true.

Recently, Pusalkar spoke to the news agency IANS when he revealed that he checked with Aamir’s team after the reports of the film being put on hold made headlines, and they confirmed that claims about script re-editing were indeed fake.

“The script is finalised, and the project will start soon. Rajkumar Hirani has also shown interest. I believe if such a film is made, it will serve as a role model and help people understand my grandfather’s contribution in detail,” he said.

This comes days after a report by Bollywood Hungama cited a source who claimed, “Aamir Khan heard the script of Dadasaheb Phalke from Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi. He felt that the script didn’t have enough elements to make it suitable for a theatrical release. He expected Raju and Abhijat to follow their usual approach of blending laughter with emotion and drama. But the script lacked comedy, which raised doubts in Aamir’s mind, prompting him to ask Raju to rewrite it.”

The life of Dadasaheb Phalke is an important chapter in Indian film history. He made Raja Harishchandra, India’s first full-length feature film, back in 1913. Telling his story on the big screen will be a big moment for Indian cinema.

According to reports, the team is leaving no stone unturned to ensure authenticity. FX studios in Los Angeles have already created AI-powered visual references to help recreate the time period of the story. Interestingly, the script has been in the works for over four years. It’s being shaped by a talented writing team, including Rajkumar Hirani himself, along with Abhijat Joshi, Hindukush Bharadwaj, and Avishkar Bharadwaj.
