many rumours and speculations made headlines, with one of the most attention-grabbing being Farhan demanding ₹40 crore in compensation to recover pre-production expenses from Singh. As the conversation around the fallout continued, a new update suggests that the Producers Guild of India will step in to mediate the dispute.

As per Mid-Day, the Producers Guild of India will try to mediate things between the two parties and is planning a meeting by the end of February. While the report claimed that the date of the meeting is not planned yet, it is lined up for February end. “No formal complaint has been placed before the general body. But both sides will be heard informally,” said a senior Guild member, as per the report.

It was further stated that following the meeting at month-end, the parties will be given a 10-day window to resolve the issue. “If talks fail, the body is likely to escalate the issue to the Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA). CINTAA’s involvement would ensure that both producer and artiste interests are balanced.”

After Ranveer left the film, the issue escalated quite quickly. Farhan reportedly has claimed that Ranveer’s exit has resulted in financial losses worth Rs 40 crore and is seeking compensation. On the other hand, Ranveer has accused Excel Entertainment of unprofessional conduct and a lack of commitment, which led to delays in the film’s production. If reports are to be believed, Singh wasn’t satisfied with the script, and he has given this as the primary reason for his exit. The ongoing issue has become the talk of the town, and it resurfaced after Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani reached out to the Producers Guild of India, requesting that Ranveer give back the money for the alleged losses incurred due to his sudden exit. While Ranveer has resisted, he said that he did not accept any remuneration or signing amount for the project.
