French President Emmanuel Macron To Visit India On February 17-19

French President Emmanuel Macron will pay an official visit to India from February 17-19, 2026, at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of External Affairs announced. During the three-day

visit, both leaders will hold discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation across a wide spectrum of areas as enshrined in the Horizon 2047 Roadmap, the MEA said in a statement.

The leaders will also discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest, including cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.

India-France Year Of Innovation
President Macron and PM Modi will travel to Mumbai to jointly inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation, which will be celebrated throughout 2026 in both countries. On February 19, the French President will participate in the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi.

The visit follows PM Modi’s trip to France in February 2025 and reflects the mutual trust and depth of the India-France Strategic Partnership, the MEA said.

“This visit reflects the mutual trust and depth of the India–France Strategic Partnership, as well as the shared commitment of the two countries to deepen it further,” the statement read.

The India-France Strategic Partnership encompasses cooperation in defence, space, civil nuclear energy, maritime security, counter-terrorism and climate action, among other areas.
