Virat Kohli returned to India on Thursday afternoon, arriving in Mumbai to a warm reception from fans waiting outside the airport.
The former India captain appeared relaxed and cheerful as he walked out,
instantly drawing attention from the supporters eager to catch a glimpse of him.
As cameras surrounded him, Kohli initially requested a little space so he could comfortably make his way towards his car. Once he reached the parking area, he handed his bag to a member of his support staff and then paused to acknowledge those waiting for photographs. Showing his usual friendly side, he even called out to fans who were hoping for a picture, making sure everyone who wanted one got a chance.
“Haan bhai, kaun kaun hai photo wala? (Yes, who all wants to get a photo?),” Kohli can be heard saying in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

At the same time, Kohli reminded people nearby to move carefully and maintain safety, ensuring that the crowd situation stayed under control. After spending a few minutes greeting supporters and posing for pictures, he finally got into his car and left the airport.
When Will Kohli Be In Action Next?
The star batter had been in London following India’s ODI series against New Zealand earlier this year. Despite India losing the three-match series under Shubman Gill’s captaincy, Kohli emerged as the team’s highest run-scorer. He even struck a brilliant century in the deciding match, though his effort alone could not secure victory for the side.
Before that series, Kohli had also played for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, registering both a century and a half-century in his appearances.
Fans will next see him in action during IPL 2026, where Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will aim to defend their title. However, uncertainty remains over whether the team can use their traditional home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium, following last year’s tragic stampede incident.
