Oman is the 19th team to play a T20I match against India.

The two-time T20 World Cup winners have played 32 T20Is each against Australia and Sri Lanka so far and lined up 31 times against South Africa so far. India is the only team in the world to have a win percentage of more than 50 against all the teams played so far.

In the ongoing Asia Cup 2025, Team India have won both the Group A matches played so far under Suryakumar Yadav’s leadership. The eight-time Asia Cup winners kicked off their campaign on Wednesday (September 10) with a nine-wicket win over hosts UAE in Dubai, and then on Sunday, September 14, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Team India crushed Pakistan by 7 wickets.

In the high-voltage match against Pakistan, Surya’s men restricted Men in Green to 127/9 in 20 overs after Salman Ali Agha won the toss and opted to bat first. For Pakistan, Sahibzada Farhan scored 40 runs, and Shaheen Shah Afridi remained unbeaten on 33 runs from 16 balls. For Team India, Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets, and two opposition batters each were sent back to the pavilion by Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav.

India chased down the target of 128 runs in 15.5 overs for the loss of three wickets. Captain Surya remained unbeaten on 47 runs, and Tilak Varma and Abhishek Sharma added 31 runs each to Team India’s total.

India, after playing against Oman in Abu Dhabi on Friday, will line up against Pakistan in Dubai once again on Sunday, September 21. The second Super 4s match of the Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled between both the arch-rivals. India will face Bangladesh in their second Super 4s match on Wednesday (September 24) and take on Sri Lanka in their third Super 4s match at the same venue on Friday, September 26.

If India manage to finish in the top two, then Surya’s side will feature in the final, which is scheduled to take place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 28.
