Now, filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan recently took a dig at Deepika’s reported ‘8-hour workday’ clause in her latest vlog. In a conversation with her cook Dilip, Farah said that Deepika only shoots for 8 hours now, and has no time to appear on their show.
Farah Khan’s Dig At Deepika Padukone’s 8-Hour Shift Demand
In her latest vlog, Farah Khan visited Bollywood actor Rohit Saraf’s house with Dilip. The actor revealed that his mother appeared on camera for the first time for Farah’s vlog, and that she had made them wait for a year for this. Farah jokingly replied, “Haan itna time toh Deepika Padukone ne nahi lagaya mujhe haan bolne mein.” Farah’s cook Dilip then asked when Deepika Padukone will come to their show, to which Farah cheekily replied that she only shoots for 8 hours now, and doesn’t have time to come on their vlog.
“Deepika Padukone ma’am kab aayengi humare show main (when will Deepika ma’am come to our show)?” asked Dilip, to which Farah replied, “Jiss din tu gaon jaayega naa uss din aayegi (the day you go to your village).” She further added, “Deepika Padukone ab sirf 8 ghanta shoot karti hai, usko show pe aane ka time nahi hai (She now shoots only for 8 hours, she doesn’t have time to come to our show).”
Deepika Padukone’s Exit
For the unversed, Deepika welcomed her daughter Dua in September 2024. As per reports, the new mom is reportedly seeking to balance her work and personal life by reducing her working hours. In May, reports emerged that she had exited Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, Vyjayanthi Movies confirmed Deepika’s exit from the Kalki 2898 AD sequel via an official note on X: “This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership. And a film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future projects.”
