During this period, massive eruptions occurred, creating the vast Deccan Traps, a significant volcanic plateau that stretches across several Indian states. Gilbert Hill is a direct result of this colossal geological event, specifically formed when molten lava burst through fissures in the Earth's crust. A Summit Sanctuary
