He travels with his running gear, ensuring no opportunity is missed, whether he's on holiday in Mahabaleshwar or Ladakh, or attending conferences in Mysuru or Nashik. Without professional coaching and while juggling a full-time career and family responsibilities, Pritesh employs a unique training philosophy he calls 'Intentional Failures.' This method involves deliberately falling short of specific performance targets on certain days, like finishing a 10-km run in 62-63 minutes when aiming for under 60. The objective is to mentally prepare for suboptimal conditions – such as inadequate hydration, poor sleep, adverse weather, or unexpected cramps. This approach cultivates psychological resilience, enabling him to push his limits and discover his true capacity. His mantra emphasizes discipline over excuses, treating the body as a gift to be challenged and exploring beyond perceived limitations. Regular annual check-ups confirm he has a clean bill of health from doctors.
Record-Breaking Consistency
Pritesh Angre's unwavering dedication has not only transformed his personal health but has also earned him national recognition. He holds a place in the India Book of Records for being the individual with the 'Maximum Consecutive Days of Running.' This distinction was achieved after he successfully completed 1,515 consecutive running days, covering a substantial 10,760 km by May 2025.
