What's Happening?
The Rosse Observatory, operated by the West Yorkshire Astronomical Society, is hosting a public open evening for stargazing enthusiasts. Attendees will have the opportunity to view celestial objects through a large 14-inch aperture Schmidt-Cassegrain reflecting telescope. The event is designed to proceed regardless of weather conditions, with alternative activities such as presentations or informal discussions available if the sky is cloudy. These open evenings are part of a regular schedule, occurring on the first Tuesday and the second and third Friday of each month, and do not require prior booking.
