What's Happening?
The Keʻalohi Piano Competition is scheduled to commence on August 17 at the Orvis Auditorium, featuring 13 competitors from Japan, China, Korea, Russia, and the USA. The competition will unfold in three rounds: Quarter Finals on August 17-18, Semi Finals on August 21, and Finals on August 24 at the Blaisdell Concert Hall with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra. Admission is free for all rounds except the final concert. Judges include Angela Cheng, Akira Eguchi, Robert Koenig, and Alan Chao. The event aims to discover the brightest piano talent every three years, offering a platform for emerging artists to showcase their skills.
