The analysis ranked housing markets based on the proportion of homeowners aged 65 and older, the total value of homes, and the estimated value held by older residents. Florida, known for its appeal to retirees due to its lack of state income tax and favorable climate, features prominently in the top ten markets, with five locations in the state.
