The National AI Centre (NAIC), in collaboration with Fifth Quadrant, has launched a new self-assessment tool designed to evaluate the maturity of organizations in implementing Responsible AI (RAI) practices. This tool allows organizations to assess their AI practices across five key dimensions: accountability, safety, fairness, transparency, and explainability. By completing a short questionnaire, organizations receive a personalized report detailing their RAI maturity score and segment, along with benchmarking data against industry peers. The tool categorizes organizations into four maturity levels: emerging, developing, implementing, and leading. Currently, only 12% of Australian organizations fall into the 'leading' category for Responsible AI.
