CHAI Collaborates with NACHC to Integrate AI in Safety Net Clinics

What's Happening?

The Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) has partnered with the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) into the largest primary care system in the United States. This collaboration aims to equip AI developers and clinicians with the necessary tools to deploy and manage AI in safety net settings, which serve populations significantly below the federal poverty level. The initiative includes conducting surveys to assess current AI adoption and developing playbooks for community health centers (CHCs) to implement AI responsibly. Additionally, CHAI plans to create an AI literacy curriculum for CHC leaders and providers, and establish a certification program for vendors working with CHCs.
