What's Happening?
The Government Communication Service (GCS) has not assessed the use of the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, since April 2023, nor has it evaluated Bluesky for government communications. The SAFE framework, which guides digital advertising environments, has not been applied to these platforms recently. Concerns about abuse and misinformation have led several public-sector bodies to cease using X, while no government accounts exist on Bluesky.
