What's Happening?
UAE-based satellite operator Space42 has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Angola's Military Intelligence and Security Service (SISM) to collaborate on the development of advanced technologies over the next five years. This strategic partnership will focus on seven key areas: satellite communications, earth observation, artificial intelligence (AI), high-altitude platforms, national security drones, border control solutions, and command and control center development. Space42, which already provides comprehensive satellite broadband coverage in Angola through its YahClick service, plans to enhance its offerings with the upcoming Thuraya 4 satellite. The agreement was formalized during a state visit by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Angola, following an invitation from Angolan President João Lourenço.
