The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) has issued classification to the Surveyor, a fully autonomous deepwater unmanned surface vehicle (USV) developed by Saildrone. The Surveyor, measuring 20 meters in length, is capable of conducting unmanned operations across global oceans, performing tasks such as deep-ocean bathymetry and maritime domain awareness. This certification follows the smaller Voyager USV, which achieved ABS Class in 2023. Saildrone's USVs are remotely monitored 24/7 by a global Mission Management team, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
