Port Houston has selected Incat Crowther to design a new hybrid electric tour vessel for the Houston Ship Channel tours. The vessel, which will replace the aging M/V Sam Houston, will be constructed by Breaux Brothers in Louisiana. It will accommodate 150 passengers and operate in an all-electric, battery-powered mode during two-hour educational tours. The vessel's design includes spacious seating, wheelchair accessibility, and panoramic views, enhancing passenger experience while promoting sustainable transportation.
