What's Happening?
Space42, a UAE-based satellite operator, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Angola's Military Intelligence and Security Service (SISM) to collaborate on developing advanced technologies over the next five years. The partnership will focus on seven priority areas, including satellite communications, earth observation, AI, high-altitude platforms, national security drones, border control solutions, and command and control center development. Space42 has been providing satellite services in Angola and plans to enhance its offerings with expanded solutions from its Thuraya 4 satellite. The MoU was formalized during a state visit by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Angola, following an invitation from Angolan President João Lourenço.
