Avnu Alliance Launches Task Group to Accelerate TSN Adoption in Aerospace Industry

Avnu Alliance has established a new Aerospace Task Group aimed at facilitating the deployment of Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) technologies within the aerospace sector. This initiative is designed to enable military and commercial aircraft, ships, and spacecraft to utilize advanced networking capabilities for real-time communications between critical systems such as sensors, actuators, mission controllers, and flight systems. The task group will focus on developing certified, interoperable, deterministic networking solutions essential for next-generation aerospace platforms, building on the IEEE 802.1DP TSN Profile for Aerospace. The Avnu Alliance emphasizes the importance of a standards-based network to simplify supply chains, reduce equipment weight, and enhance mission flexibility. The inaugural Aerospace and Defense TSN Summit, sponsored by Avnu Alliance, Keysight Technologies, and GE Aerospace, is scheduled for September 9-10, 2025, in Novi, Michigan, to discuss implementation strategies and standardization.
