The Farm Robotics Challenge, organized by UC ANR Innovate and the AI Institute for Next Generation Food Systems, has opened registration for its 2026 season. This collegiate competition invites undergraduate and graduate student teams from U.S. and international colleges to design, prototype, and field-test robotics and AI-driven solutions for modern agricultural challenges. The Reservoir, a venture capital investor and robotics incubator, is the lead sponsor, offering a $50,000 Grand Prize investment to the winning team. This initiative aims to transform student innovations into market-ready solutions, addressing real-world agricultural issues through collaboration with growers.
