According to a report coming out of Italy (as captured by Sempre Inter), Inter Milan is looking to sell former Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard:

Inter Milan will reportedly listen to offers for defender Benjamin Pavard this summer.

This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri want €30-35 million for the Frenchman, who isn’t in any hurry to leave. Defender Benjamin Pavard has been an Inter Milan player for the past two seasons. He joined the club from Bayern Munich

in the summer of 2023.

There are no immediate indications that the 29-year-old is on the way out at the San Siro. However, according to FCInterNews, Pavard’s age means that Inter do not consider him indispensable. The France international turns thirty next season, and is not necessarily a player for the long term.

Inter would want a fee in the region of what they paid for Pavard, reports FCIN. They would expect around €30-35 million. For his part, FCIN report, Pavard is not pushing for an exit. He is certainly happy to stay at Inter. The Frenchman would expect to join a club of a similar stature to Inter, and continue to compete for trophies. If such an offer were to come in, though, the Frenchman could listen.

Admittedly, Bayern Munich is likely a longshot in any pursuit for Pavard, but the Bavarians are looking for a third-center-back, who is versatile. As we know, Pavard can also play right-back.

At the aforementioned price-point, should Bayern Munich kick the tires on an old friend?

With a move for Hugo Ekitiké getting close, the reality is that Bayern Munich is likely going to get Luis Diaz…whether fans like it or not. Bayern Munich has reportedly also exited talks with VfB Stuttgart to focus on a deal for Diaz. It might also just be time for Bayern Munich to rip off the band-aid and sell Kim Min-jae, João Palhinha, and Sacha Boey. Finally, we have a note Bayer Leverkusen’s CEO and his recent slam on Bayern.
