Barcelona’s pre-season preparations seem to have descended into chaos ahead of their scheduled flight to Asia.
The Catalans had been due to fly to Japan on Thursday for a first friendly against Vissel Kobe on Sunday but that match now looks to be off.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca have been forced to cancel their flight “due to a breach of contract by the promoter of the friendly.”
It’s not clear yet if Barcelona’s other two scheduled friendlies will now go ahead as originally planned.
Barca had
also been due to play games in South Korea against FC Seoul in Thursday and Daegu the following Monday.
Gerard Romero says the whole tour is now “hanging by a thread” in what will be a major blow to the club’s pre-season preparations.
Barca had been due to announce their squad for the tour ahead of the scheduled flight, but we will have to wait and see what happens next.
