According to a report from Kicker journalists Frank Linkesch and Mario Krischel (via @iMiaSanMia), any names you see linked to Bayern Munich aside of Liverpool FC’s Luis Diaz and VfB Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade are a smokescreen:

The names being rumoured on a daily basis, such as Xavi Simons, Rodrygo, Christopher Nkunku, Leandro Trossard, Renato Veiga are currently not a topic of discussion at Bayern. The club’s full focus at the moment is on finalizing deals for Luis Díaz and Nick Woltemade.

be true, but the reporting surrounding a few of those names — particularly Xavi Simons — seems to be strong. Why? Well, there have been no rumors of personal terms being agreed upon, proposals being sent, or anything. Just interest...surely Bayern Munich has contingency plans in place should things fall apart with Woltemade and Diaz and it would seem naive to rule out some of those aforementioned players.

Looking for more thoughts and discussion on Bayern Munich’s recent rejections with bids on on VfB Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade and Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, plus some talk about the heat that Max Eberl and the fellas are facing — plus a discussion on why Nestory Irankunda might not have worked out and also why Bayern needs to be on high alert with Paul Wanner?
