Injury-wracked 1st place Astros inquired about their former star Carlos Correa. Astros like a lefty-hitting infielder, but they love Correa (so do the Twins, but they are in sell mode) Nightengale 1st There are hurdles: Correa has a full no-trade (big) & he loves it in Minnesota (& they love him).

  • The Yankees went and snagged some outfield help in the form of Austin Slater from the White Sox.

Yankees are acquiring OF Austin Slater from the White Sox for pitching prospect Gage Ziehl ... Slater is RHH with good history vs. LHP (.270BA/.798OPS for career, .261/.859 this season. Now vs. LH starter, Rosario could play 3b for McMahon, Slater could play LF for Dominguez as option for Boone.
