The July live period has begun for AAU basketball, as Mark Pope and his staff made several appearances this weekend at various venues.
With the big board starting to get filled up and some positive momentum with several top recruits in the class, the Kentucky Wildcats have now added a new name to the list.
According to Jacob Polacheck of KSR, UK assistant coach Cody Fueger has reached out to 4-star forward Jacob Webber. The initial contact came on Monday, according to Webber.
A 6-foot-6 and 175-pound
wing from Kearney (NE), plays his high school ball in Indiana for La Lumiere. Webber currently holds offers from Nebraska, Washington, Creighton, California, and several other mid-major programs at the moment. After his performance this weekend, that list might grow soon.
With this initial contact, it will be interesting to see where this recruitment goes and how serious the Cats are. Nevertheless, it is a new name to add to the class of 2026 big board.
Webber is currently considered a 4-star prospect in the 2026 class by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. They also list him as a top-100 player in the class, coming in at No. 95 overall.
