
Normally, the prospect of facing a talented pitcher such as Spencer Strider—especially when your offense is subpar—would be a scary situation. And it still might be; Strider is really good, and it would not surprise me whatsoever if he carves up Kansas City.
But the Royals have made it a habit to live in Bizarro World this season. A new rookie pitcher making his debut? He tosses a gem. All-Star starters? The offense has often had their number. So let’s see if the Royals can do some damage against
good ol’ Spence.
Rich Hill takes the mound tonight for the first time at Kauffman Stadium as a Royal. Hopefully he can play with some better defense behind him.
