Penn State Offers Three-Star Defensive Lineman
Three-star Tennessee defensive lineman Djidjou Bah has received an offer from Penn State:
After a great conversation with @DBarnes_18 I am blessed to receive an offer from Penn State University ⚪️. #alhamdulilah #WeAre @PennStateFball @coachjfranklin @CoachJaxDL @iamcoachgene @AllenTrieu @adamgorney @SWiltfong_ @CSmithScout @AllenTrieu pic.twitter.com/KTsGNP5qzm

Bah committed to Wisconsin on June 1, but the Nittany Lions are still actively pursuing him. Penn State received a rare commitment from a player
from Tennessee in Jack Fuchs earlier this summer- can they flip Bah and make it two?
Penn State Behind on NIL in Recruiting
Penn State football’s 2026 recruiting class has slipped to No. 16 in the country after a promising start. Even more striking is the difference in NIL spending between the Nittany Lions and the programs ahead of them. Per the 2026 class ranking, Penn State is spending an average of $62,000 on its 2026 recruits, lower than all of the teams in the top 15 and lightyears behind programs like Oregon ($252,000), Georgia ($191,000), LSU ($187,000), Alabama ($177,000), Miami ($170,000), Texas ($161,000), and Ohio State ($145,000).
Some of this disparity is because Penn State invested in keeping its core players around for one more season. However, there is still a significant gap as the Nittany Lions continue to play catch-up in the world of NIL.
14 Penn State Recruits Move Up in 2026 Rankings
As part of the merger between On3 and Rivals, the two recruiting media platforms consolidated their recruiting rankings. A total of 14 Penn State recruits in the 2026 class moved up in the new rankings, bumping the Lions’ average recruit up slightly to 89.96.
Notably, wide receiver Davion Brown jumped 50 spots to No. 185 nationally. He is the No. 30 overall wide receiver and No. 7 player from Virginia in the 2026 class. Offensive linemen Marlen Bright (up 250 spots) and Jack Fuchs (up 327 spots) both entered the top 500 nationally.
Kevin Brown (No. 64 overall) and Messiah Mickens (No. 143 overall) remain the headliners from Penn State’s 2026 class. At No. 16 overall, Penn State’s class is the third-highest class without a five-star prospect, behind Clemson and Florida State.
