Chelsea have done some good transfer business this summer already — incoming and outgoing — but we may not be done even after Jorrel Hato and possibly Xavi Simons sign as well. According to the Telegraph, we’re also still “expected” to make an offer to Manchester United for Alejandro Garnacho, who remains out of favor there.
More wingers? More wingers!
But we’re in no hurry to do so just yet, with both teams looking to clear out some of their deadwood first, then complete whatever signings they’re
working on second (be that Simons for us or Benjamin Šeško for United). We certainly have some excess bodies in the dressing room, and that would only get worse if we do try to get both Simons and Garnacho (rather one or the other).
The report adds that Garnacho is more keen on Chelsea than any other possible option that may be available to him (say, Aston Villa). So we’re just waiting for the “green light” from United to proceed. Let’s hope it’s not a Squid Game situation!
