With QB Kenny Pickett sidelined, there doesn’t seem to be much of a battle in the Cleveland Browns QB competition. Veteran Joe Flacco was given the role of the top quarterback by HC Kevin Stefanski, the first time anyone had that in the battle of four QBs, with rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders battling it out behind Flacco at this point.
Anything could change in the last few weeks of training camp, especially with preseason games on the horizon, but Gabriel and Sanders have a big hill to
climb if they want to start the season behind center.
That doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy some highlights from the young pair or ones they are involved in.
First, we had Gabriel putting near-perfect touch and placement on this long ball:

Then we saw Sanders move out of the pocket to make a play down the field into tight coverage:

Finally, WR Gage Larvadain gets a highlight off a pass from Gabriel, leading to the receiver breaking things open for a big play:

In the end, highlights are just a small piece of the evaluation of quarterbacks (and any other position) but they do provide fans with something to be excited about and hope for.
