Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch, after going back-and-forth dating back to WrestleMania
, decided to end things once and for all at SummerSlam tonight (Sun., Aug. 3, 2025) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Valkyria got Lynch to agree to a no count out, no disqualification match on the condition that a loss would mean she could never again challenge for the Intercontinental title while Lynch is holding it.That meant pulling out all the stops, including Lynch using zip ties to bind Lyra
while doing things like this:

Becky ultimately set Valkyria up in a chair and set her up to finish the job. That’s when Bayley showed up, who has had issues with both women. Lynch tried to get her to finish Lyra off herself but Bayley refused, instead targeting Becky.
Even with that, Bayley ended up accidentally taking out Valkyria and assisting Lynch in retaining the title, taking Lyra out with a steel chain wrapped punch. This means Valkyria cannot challenge for the title again.
At least not while Lynch is still champion.
And she is after tonight.
