Paul Wanner could be looking for a way out of Bayern Munich, according to Sport Bild chief reporter Tobi Altschäffl.
As captured by @iMiaSanMia:
Paul Wanner sees no chances to develop at Bayern if he stays next season. The 19-year old would like to be loaned out again. A permanent sale—with a buyback option—is also a possibility [@altobelli13]
BFW Analysis
This is starting to look like a situation gone horribly wrong. In Wanner, Bayern has a homegrown prodigy in attacking midfield — a player who has been subject
to a tug of war between the senior national teams of Germany and Austria. Sure, his loan spell at relegation-zone Heidenheim did not go swimmingly but the 19-year-old has some seasoning now and could get a look with his parent club. When better than this year, with Bayern missing out on Florian Wirtz to Liverpool FC and losing Jamal Musiala to long-term injury?
Wanner has the chance to be special and it is hard to think of a better environment for him than in Bavaria. Then again, the Bavarians look eager to crowd out the attacking ranks once again with big money moves on the transfer market.
Looking for more thoughts and discussion on Bayern Munich’s recent rejections with bids on on VfB Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade and Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, plus some talk about the heat that Max Eberl and the fellas are facing — plus a discussion on why Nestory Irankunda might not have worked out and also why Bayern needs to be on high alert with Paul Wanner?
