Bogdan Guskov put the UFC’s light heavyweight division on notice earlier today (Sat., July 26, 2025) at UFC Abu Dhabi LIVE on ABC/ESPN+ from inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, putting a violent stop to veteran Nikita Krylov with a first-round TKO (punches).
Despite coming off a disastrous knockout loss at the hands of Dominick Reyes, Krylov came into Saturday’s
main card opener a near 2:1 betting favorite. That’s because Krylov has faced some of the best 205-ppund fighters over the past five years and still possessed an incredible finish rate. Guskov was bringing a three-fight win streak into this fight, but he was taking a big step up in competition.
Guskov wasted no time getting to work. He exchanged some heavy shots with Krylov, who seemed a little more patient than his last fight. Out of nowhere, Guskov unloaded a filthy right hand that caught Krylov flush and sent him crashing to the canvas. Guskov followed up with some pummeling ground-and-pound before the referee decided to save Krylov from additional punishment.
