It looks like Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s time at Chelsea is coming to an end already — not unexpectedly, mind you — though he will not even have to change the color of his shirt. According to reports, Everton have agreed a £25m deal (with another £3-4m in add-ons) to sign the 26-year-old midfielder, moving swiftly and without much fanfare to conclude talks successfully with both club and player.
There hadn’t been too much chatter about KDH in the rumor mill prior to this story, but The Athletic did report
that we were looking for around £30m in any deal involving the former Leicester City man who joined last summer soon after manager Enzo Maresca made the same move.
Dewsbury-Hall was key for Maresca at Leicester, but that was far from the case at Chelsea, with the midfielder making just 13 appearances in the league. He did feature heavily in the Conference League and came off the bench multiple times in the Club World Cup as well, while maintaining a solid professional attitude.
