After weeks of speculation, Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl was thrilled to have former Liverpool FC winger Luis Diaz in tow.

We’re delighted we’ve been able to bring him to FC Bayern. Transfers like this work when every cog in the machine fits together. The futures of Eberl and Diaz are tied at the hip. If Diaz is a success, Eberl will look like a genius. If Diaz struggles, Eberl could be in some trouble in Bavaria.
