It looks like Bayern Munich might be nearing a deal with Liverpool FC for Luis Diaz, with the valuation between the two teams inching closer and closer. Florian Plettenberg reported (via @iMiaSanMia) that the Bavarians have submitted a new offer worth €67.5 million, which is not far from the reported cap of €75 million.
However, two reports by Ben Jacobs (Give Me Sport) and James Pearce (Liverpool correspondent for The Athletic) said that any agreement (if any) that was made so far is purely verbal,
and that Liverpool has yet to receive an improved offer from Bayern.
Bayern fans will have to endure this much uncertainty with the season just around the corner. The Rekordmeister has lost three attackers over the offseason and the club has signed zero replacements. Unless Vincent Kompany is thinking of using the youth players (which seems unlikely given his track record), Bayern is walking into the new season with a depleted front line.
