According to a report from Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, RB Leipzig could be seeking to take advantage of the stalemate between Chelsea FC and Borussia Dortmund for Carney Chukwuemeka:

Leipzig have opened talks over the 21 y/o central midfielder from Chelsea. Further steps are planned for Wednesday. #CFC
⚠️ Leipzig have now also been informed that Chelsea want to sign Xavi Simons. RB are prepared to sell. A verbal agreement between
ADXavi and Chelsea is close, but not 100% done yet.
This would come as a blow to Dortmund, who liked Chukwuemeka and wanted him to be a part of its 2025/26 squad.
