The Knights slipped a bit again, dropping four of six against Rochester (42-63).
Third baseman Vinny Capra, 29, was a bright spot for the Knights this week. Capra led the way for the offense, posting a crazy 1.321 OPS and swiping a base in his only attempt. Capra went 8-for-15 with a triple, a double, two walks, and four RBIs. Opposing pitchers simply could not keep Capra off base, so Capra earned his first weekly award.
There were plenty of strong performances, as Tim Elko and Bryan Ramos both also topped 1.000 OPS this week. Elko blasted two homers, and Ramos flexed even more power, with three blasts. This week, the trend of strong offense but poor run prevention continued for the Knights.

The Barons continued their recent trend of only losing one game per week, as they are playing extremely well.
First baseman Ryan Galanie, 25, was a major source of offensive production. Galanie started the year at Winston-Salem, where he played 21 games and posted a .921 OPS. Double-A has been more challenging, as expected, but he has had a solid year, posting a .732 OPS in a tough hitting environment, for a 113 wRC+. Galanie’s 9-for-27 week that included a homer, five doubles, two walks, and six RBIs was enough for him to claim his first Baron of the Week award.

The Dash had a solid week, splitting their six-game series against the Drive (51-50).
Outfielder Drake Logan, 24, who primarily plays center, had a terrific week to claim his first Dash of the Week award. Unfortunately, Logan suffered an injury in April and spent a couple of weeks in late June and early July on a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League. However, Logan is back in business where he started the season, as he went 6-for-15 with a homer and six RBIs for the Dash.

The Cannon Ballers took care of business against the Shorebirds (38-63) and inched a bit closer to .500.
Well, would you look at that? Shortstop Caleb Bonemer, 19, won his second straight Baller of the Week award, his third in the past four weeks, and his fifth of the season. The White Sox selected Bonemer in the second round in the 2024 draft, and he is far exceeding expectations. This week, Bonemer went 9-for-18 with three doubles, five walks, and three RBIs, as he was extremely reliable at the plate. Overall, Bonemer is slashing .272/.394/.437 (141 wRC+), as he has been a major catalyst for the Cannon Ballers.

Jefrank Silva, 17, had a fantastic week at the plate, launching two homers en route to a 1.091 OPS. Silva primarily plays third base, and he has provided some serious stability and value with his defense, too. This is Silva’s first professional season, and he is off to a solid start, slashing .247/.360/.376. Silva’s excellent performance results in his first weekly award, and it will most likely not be his last.
