Highlights! Michal Oleksiejczuk crushes Gerald Meerschaert with early TKO finish | UFC 319

WHAT'S THE STORY?

Michal Oleksiejczuk earned his first UFC win streak since 2022 earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 16, 2025) at UFC 319 LIVE on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV)  from inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois, smashing middleweight veteran Gerald Meerschaert with a first-round TKO (punches).

Oleksiejczuk came into Saturday’s contest as the betting favorite and was expected to have his way with Meerschaert on the feet. It was up to “GM3” to take the fight to the canvas and implement his superior submission skills.

That proved to be a difficult task for Meerschaert and he paid the ultimate price.

Early into the fight, it was evident that Oleksiejczuk was going to land his punches to the head and body at will. Meerschaert barely moves on his feet and was just absorbing all the shots. He did try a takedown or two, but Oleksiejczuk was fully prepared. The damage started to pile up and Oleksiejczuk ended up scoring a knockdown, but Meerschaert was able to get back to his feet.

A few moments later, Oleksiejczuk landed a nasty left hand that sent Meerschaert crashing backwards onto the canvas. Oleksiejczuk rushed in for some nasty ground-and-pound and eventually forced the referee’s hand. It was a complete showing for Oleksiejczuk, who now rides a two-fight win streak into the final months of the year.
